Dr. Ally Hart was born and raised on Long Island, New York. Her love for animals began at a very young age- when she was asked what she wanted to be when she grew up in pre-school, she confidently replied “a veterinarian or a pop star”. Due to her less than stellar vocals, she decided to pursue a career in veterinary medicine, first receiving a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from the University of Virginia followed by her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Cornell University’s College of Veterinary medicine. 

Prior to attending veterinary school, Dr. Hart worked as a veterinary nurse at a practice in downtown Manhattan and fell in love with New York City and its pet culture. After graduating from veterinary school, she eagerly moved back to NYC to practice medicine with Downtown Veterinary Medical Hospitals. Ally’s professional interests include preventative care, dermatology and internal medicine. 

When Ally isn’t working as a vet, she enjoys exploring all that New York City has to offer- frequenting new restaurants, museums and neighborhoods. She does not have a pet of her own yet, however is hoping that she comes across the perfect spunky rescue Chihuahua sometime in the near future.
