Licensed Veterinary Technicians

Audrey Boyd, LVT, Hospital Supervisor

Audrey Boyd is a Licensed Veterinary Technician. She has been with DVM Hospitals since June 2003. She knew that she wanted to work with animals since junior high school where she studied Animal Science. Her love for animals led her to SUNY Delhi where she graduated in 1999. Since then she has been dedicating her service to our little furry companions.

Nancy Neumann, LVT

Licensed Veterinary Technician, Nancy Neumann has found both a rewarding but stressful career that is nonetheless all worthwhile -- she enjoys being part of the Downtown Veterinary Medical Hospital team. She loves being able to see owners’ reactions when we are able to help their furry family members, and acknowledges that she definitely has a sweet spot for the older canine and feline family members. She has a special interest in dentistry and is a big advocate of brushing your pet's teeth. Her cat, Pretzel Cucchiaio, loves the CET poultry toothpaste and doesn't mind the 1 minute brushing!

Alexandra Giambalvo, LVT

Alexandra has been working at the West Village Veterinary Hospital since 2011. She started as a veterinary assistant in 2005 at a private clinic in Queens, NY. She attended the University of Scranton and studied Biology for 2 years. Her passion was to work with animal so she pursued her education in Veterinary Technology at LaGuardia Community College and obtained her license in 2011. Alex enjoys living in NY with her husband and her two adorable cats, Prince and Nino.

Briana Davis, LVT

Briana has always had a passion for taking care of animals ever since she was little. She studies Animal Sciences at G.W. Carver high school and graduated from LaGuardia Community College’s Vet Tech program as a License Veterinary Technician in 2015. Since then I worked at a general practice on the Upper East Side and shortly after joined us at Downtown Veterinary Medical Hospitals. In her spare time she enjoys hanging with friends, trying new things, seeing new places and relaxing at home her beloved fur babies, Lily and Oscar.

Veterinary Assistant

Heidi Filiora

Heidi's interest in animal care began at a young age when she encountered an injured bird and sought to help it. From there, she went on to help in forest restoration, volunteered at a veterinary clinic, and work at a doggie daycare before starting at Downtown Veterinary Medical Hospitals in Summer 2011. Heidi currently lives with her two furry companions, Korra and Tonks.

Amaya Vargas

Amaya has been an integral member of the West Village Vets team since 2008. Her compassion for our patients and for veterinary care shows in everything that she does. When she is not devoting her time caring for everyone else’s fur babies, she is spending time helping us network on social media (of course with other famous pets) and with her own furry bunch, Nola and Jupiter.

Christina Gonzalez

Christina has worked with the Downtown Veterinary Group since August of 2014. She started out as a Receptionist and transitioned to a Veterinary Assistant, and currently does both. She is attending Mercy College pursuing her bachelor's degree in veterinary medicine, and will also seek licensure to become a Licensed Veterinary Technician. Christina currently has no pets of her own, but loves all animals, especially cats! In her free time she enjoys reading, trying out new vegan recipes, and playing video games.

She also is extremely skilled when it comes to our international travel requirement and has helped all of our doctors to prepare all types of travel documents. When she's not at West Village Veterinary Hospital, she loves spending time with her son, daughter, two dogs (Drew & Champ), and her husband.
