Licensed Veterinary Technician

Location: Tribeca Soho Veterinary Hospital

Description: 

We are looking for Licensed Veterinary Technicians to either work shifts during the day or overnight. We currently have both full-time and part-time positions available. Veterinary Technicians must have:

• Great people skills
• Communicate well, both in person and on the phone (speak clearly and write legibly)
• Good computer skills
• Multi-tasking abilities
• Compassion

Technical abilities must include the following, but are not limited to:

• Venipuncture
• Catheter Placement
• Administration of Medications PO, SQ, IM, IV
• Accurate Calculations of Medications
• Current Knowledge of Medications
• Ability to Capture Radiograph Views (preferably digital)
• Dental Prophylaxis
• Monitoring of Anesthesia
• Proper Sterilization Methods

We do require that all new employees work 1 weekend day or night a week and salary will commensurate based on your experience. You must be able to also provide us with working references.
