Licensed Veterinary Technician
Location: Tribeca Soho Veterinary Hospital
Description:
We are looking for Licensed Veterinary Technicians to either work shifts during the day or overnight. We currently have both full-time and part-time positions available. Veterinary Technicians must have:
- Great people skills
- Communicate well, both in person and on the phone (speak clearly and write legibly)
- Good computer skills
- Multi-tasking abilities
- Compassion
Technical abilities must include the following, but are not limited to:
- Venipuncture
- Catheter Placement
- Administration of Medications PO, SQ, IM, IV
- Accurate Calculations of Medications
- Current Knowledge of Medications
- Ability to Capture Radiograph Views (preferably digital)
- Dental Prophylaxis
- Monitoring of Anesthesia
- Proper Sterilization Methods
We are looking for reliable, detail-oriented people that can work well independently and as a team. We consistently strive for great customer service as well as a good working environment.
We do require that all new employees work 1 weekend day or night a week and salary will commensurate based on your experience. You must be able to also provide us with working references.
